I had the honor of reading Irene Rose’s New Adult debut, CHARCOAL AND HOT CHOCOLATE and wow.

This story is really sweet with a female heroine that I can really identify with. I was painfully shy and grew up in a strict household so many of the things Ellie deals with hit really close to home for me. Made me wish I’d had my own River in college.

I love this book. I love this story. Lisa is a real life EMT and brought her years of experience into this story. She hosts #traumafiction every Tuesday on Twitter where she gives writers the tools they need to properly maim, poison, or kill their characters.
