More shiny, happy covers!
So New Adult is a thing, guys. Love it. Embrace it. Hate it. Walk away from it. Whatever. But it is a thing and there are so many wonderful books peppering the landscape and percolating in the background.
I had the honor of reading Irene Rose’s New Adult debut, CHARCOAL AND HOT CHOCOLATE and wow.
Also? River is mine. Sorry, ladies. I have dibs. You can have Connor.
College life is a breath of fresh air for 20 year old Ellie Baylor, a painfully shy but beautiful art major. She has her canvas and charcoal and that’s more than enough. Her choice to go to school far from home and the watchful eye of her strict parents seems like the perfect thing for smooth sailing into a easy life. But when River Daniels, a charming artist with eyes the color of hot chocolate, asks her to join him in a project for class, Ellie may get more than just an A. She might find out how to live.
This story is really sweet with a female heroine that I can really identify with. I was painfully shy and grew up in a strict household so many of the things Ellie deals with hit really close to home for me. Made me wish I’d had my own River in college.
Enough waxing poetic, Tristina, where’s the cover?
Isn’t that just the prettiest ever?
So. Your mission.

I have another cover reveal!
July 31 cannot come quick enough? Why? FIXED ON YOU, baby!
I had the amazing pleasure of reading this book and oh my word is it hot. And awesome. And spicy. If you liked Sylvia Day’s BARED TO YOU, Raine Miller’s NAKED, or Christina Lauren’s BEAUTIFUL BASTARD, then you will love FIXED ON YOU.
Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Pierce’s past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out – move up at the nightclub she works at and marry the manager, David. He’s perfect for her because, although he’s attractive, he doesn’t get her all turned inside out and upside down like some other men have. It’s a safe plan, one that assures she’ll remain in control of her obsessive love disorder.
But what Alayna didn’t figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He’s smart, rich, and gorgeous – the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson’s fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of his plans to seduce her. Avoiding him becomes impossible after he offers a business proposition Alayna can’t turn down and she’s drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull.
Soon Alayna’s charmed by Hudson in every way possible and the control over her old behaviors slip. When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she’s fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.
What else do you guys need to convince you?
Now, meet the lady behind the magic.
Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Mad Men or the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine. She is represented by the wonderful Bob Diforio of D4EO Literary Agency.

Today I have a SMOKING HOT cover reveal for you! My incredibly talented and amazing critique partner, Elizabeth Otto, has her debut on Friday. I met Lisa online through a writing group and, over time, she and I became close friends. Eventually, seven of us bonded and formed our own little critique group and, let me tell you, I would be lost without these women.
Of our little group, Lisa is the first to be published and the first to be agented and I could not be any prouder than I am. BLOOD OF ISIS is a long time in the making. Ben and Jayda are her babies and I hope that Lisa returns to them someday to give us more stories from this world because, guys? You are in for a sexy hot treat.
But what is BLOOD OF ISIS?
When a designer drug rocks the small town of New Brighton and makes junkies spontaneously combust, Paramedic Jayda Swenson suspects the super-methamphetamine her husband created before his death has resurfaced. She’s worked hard to create a safe, tidy life and put her meth-ravaged past behind her. Jayda has a secret to keep and her new life is the perfect cover. But when tourists start disappearing and charred body remains crop up, Jayda learns the hard way that this drug doesn’t just fry people’s minds—it also fuels demons.
Luckily, the sexy new medic, Ben Tierney, is a demon-hunter in disguise, except his demon-busting powers don’t work so well anymore. Until he realizes Jayda’s touch can refuel the energy he’s lost—a touch she’s not so willing to dish out. Now Jayda finds herself wedged between an ancient demon that knows her past and her secret, and Ben, who has plenty of secrets of his own. Fighting to hold onto her carefully controlled life, Jayda must decide if she’ll let Ben help her defeat the demons who threaten to infect the town by the 4th of July—even if it means exposing her true self and losing everything. Again.
I love this book. I love this story. Lisa is a real life EMT and brought her years of experience into this story. She hosts #traumafiction every Tuesday on Twitter where she gives writers the tools they need to properly maim, poison, or kill their characters.
But you want the cover, don’t you?
Isn’t it HOT?
BLOOD OF ISIS will be available this Friday, April 5th! And that’s not all. Head over to Elizabeth’s website for an exclusive excerpt and a to win your own copy!
